    Description

    Here is an old caliper type tool, made by Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Co. of Providence, Rhode Island.  One of the many old tools I have been selling lately, from that old auto repair shop I've been liquidating.  The caliper measures about 6 1/2 inches long (longest side when closed.  Could use a good cleaning, but works fine, no visible damage, should make a nice addition to someone's antique tool collection or workbench.  Photos of front and rear, plus closeups of the lettering on the two arms ("Tempered" on one, "Brown & Sharpe Mfg.
